Lady Shokheen Singh Rai

Lady Shokheen Singh Rai is an entrepreneur, business owner, philanthropist, and humanitarian. She is descended from the Rai family, whose nobility dates back 400 years to the Mughal Empire in India. Their ancestral grandfather founded a free community kitchen, known as a langar, to feed visitors, locals, statesmen, and religious dignitaries passing through India.

In 1902, following British rule and the governance of the East India Company, the land was once again officially recognized and decreed to the Rai family. To this day, they continue to uphold their ancestral commitment. Preserving this legacy remains both an honor and a responsibility for the Rai family.

Professionally, Shokheen holds a law degree from the University of Windsor in Canada. She obtained her law license in 2011, and that same year she founded her own law firm, which she successfully ran and expanded as a premier trial attorney until her semi-retirement in 2024, when she moved to California and married her husband, Michael.

She is the founder of TheRoundtableClub.com, an exclusive circle for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, fostering authentic relationships, cultural experiences, and discussions on impactful investments in sophisticated settings.

She has also served on various boards, including the Orangeville Business Improvement Area (BIA), McMichael’s Women’s Art Council showcasing female artists, and Orangeville’s Economic and Development Advisory Sub-Committee. Additionally, she has contributed to nonprofits like Caledon Victim Services and St. George’s Society of Toronto, where she chaired the Education Committee, overseeing the many endowments for universities.

Currently, Shokheen is assembling a worldwide alliance of leading experts from technology and human rights sectors to eradicate sexual violence and human trafficking. This initiative breaks down organizational barriers, providing a secure platform for joint collaboration among groups and private stakeholders to combine efforts and achieve lasting victory against these injustices.
