Bryan Tracy, Ph.D. is an industrial biotechnology innovator working to make biology a primary manufacturing engine of the 21st century. He reimagines fermentation as a powerful, integrated platform capable of producing better food, materials, and energy — reshaping how humanity feeds and powers itself.
Over two decades, Bryan has led breakthrough advances in microbial systems. He drove the development of mixotrophic fermentation, enabling bacteria to convert waste CO₂ and sugars into valuable fuels and chemicals — demonstrating that emissions can become resources. This work led to his involvement in the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE. More recently, he led the creation of the world’s first Postbiotic Cultured Protein, pioneering a new category of fermentation-derived nutrition and reframing microbial biomass as a complete, sustainable source of nourishment.
Bryan combines deep technical innovation with entrepreneurial execution, scaling breakthrough science through incentive-aligned partnerships across complex global industries. Rather than opposing incumbents, he builds alliances that accelerate change from within. He has founded three companies, most recently Superbrewed Food.
Author of 16 scientific publications and inventor on more than 50 patents, Bryan also serves on the boards of FAME and the Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance.
