Alejandro Delmar
Alejandro Delmar CEO and Co-Founder, SeaBridge Sustainability & SeaBridgeAI

Alejandro Delmar is a sustainability and nature-risk leader with 20+ years of experience across the United States, Europe, and Latin America, working at the intersection of biodiversity, finance, real assets, and data-driven decision-making. He is Co-Founder & CEO of SeaBridge Sustainability and SeaBridgeAI, supporting corporate and investment teams with climate and nature risk analysis, sustainability due diligence for transactions, and decision-grade reporting systems that improve rigor, traceability, and speed.

Alejandro has played a leadership role in advancing the field of nature and biodiversity finance through research and editorial stewardship of widely used reference publications. He served as Executive Editor of Global Canopy’s The Little Book of Investing in Nature (2021), a practical guide that helps decision-makers compare and understand mechanisms for financing biodiversity conservation. He is also a co-author of Financing Nature: Closing the Global Biodiversity Financing Gap (2020), a landmark assessment produced with the Paulson Institute, The Nature Conservancy, and Cornell that quantifies the biodiversity finance gap and maps pathways to close it.

Building on this foundation, Alejandro led research and served as Executive Editor for the forthcoming Global Canopy volume, The Little Book of Nature Business (expected 2026), expanding the conversation from “financing nature” to “transforming the real economy”— helping businesses, lenders, and investors identify nature-related opportunities and innovations aligned with global biodiversity goals. (Global Canopy positions this as the next entry in its Little Book series.)

Earlier in his career, Alejandro advised infrastructure and real estate companies in Europe at Deloitte & Touché, and supported portfolio-wide energy efficiency strategy work at PGIM Real Estate through EDF Climate Corps.
