CAROLIE SLY, PHD

SCIENCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CURRICULUM DESIGNER AND TEACHER TRAINER

Carolie Sly holds a Ph.D. in Science Education from the University of California at Berkeley. She has been a public school elementary classroom teacher, head of a small private high school, and a professor at San Francisco State University. Through her work as science curriculum coordinator for Alameda County Office of Education and Director of Education Programs at the Center for Ecoliteracy, Dr. Sly has written award-winning curricula and facilitated hundreds of professional development trips including to Greece to teach refugees.

Dr. Sly currently facilitates online classes for teens to debate ethical issues. Her passions are cooking, kayaking, and roaming around San Francisco Bay Area trails.
