Prior to joining Vast, Molly served as a Program Manager at Honeybee Robotics for both the Lunar PlanetVac (LPV) and Lunar Instrumentation for Subsurface Thermal Exploration with Rapidity (LISTER) probes, which executed their missions on the moon in March 2025. Molly also spent over eight years at SpaceX, where she was both a Human Factors Engineer on Crew Dragon and an on-console Mission Operator for multiple Cargo Resupply Services (CRS) missions to the International Space Station. Before her time at SpaceX, Molly was a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems on airborne imaging systems and spacecraft sensors and a Biomechanical Engineer at Orbital Outfitters, a scrappy spacesuit development startup.
Molly received her bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis in Biomedical Engineering with a specialty track in Biomechanics. She earned her master’s degree in Space Systems Engineering from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
