In 2013, he co-founded Confidio, a technology-enabled pharmacy benefits solutions company that helped self-funded health plan sponsors navigate complex challenges. Under his leadership, Confidio earned a spot on the Inc. 1000 list for three consecutive years. In 2021, Confidio was acquired by RxBenefits, Inc., the first and largest Pharmacy Benefits Optimization (PBO) company in the U.S., now managing over $3 billion in annual drug spend and serving millions.
Cory retired from healthcare in 2022 but remains active in service, education, and philanthropy while leading WWC. He is a Spirit of XPRIZE Benefactor and regional ambassador, supporting bold, innovative solutions to global challenges. At the University of Maryland, he serves as a member of the School of Public Health Dean's Council, an Affiliate Adjunct Faculty member in Health Policy and Management, and the co-creator of the Lisa M. & Cory E. Easton Pharmacy Benefit Management Certificate Program, the first university-level program designed to close the educational gap in pharmacy benefit management. In addition, Cory and Lisa Easton established the Easton Family Maryland Promise Scholarship to support financial needs and promote educational equity in the School of Public Health.
