XPRIZE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

SIGN THE PLEDGE

The Global Learning XPRIZE is inspired by the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and learning opportunities for all. That deeply held belief has driven us throughout the creation and execution of the Global Learning XPRIZE. Our project was designed to be open source, global, and multi-lingual so that at its conclusion the winning technology could become a resource for the world to build upon, rather than the possession of an elite few. As our competition draws to a close, we developed the XPRIZE Development Goals (XDGs) with specific action items necessary for the global community to achieve universal access to quality learning by 2030.

EMPOWERING CHILDREN TO TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR OWN LEARNING

There are currently more than a quarter billion children who cannot read, write, or do basic math.

THIS IS A SOLVABLE PROBLEM.

Whether you choose one small thing or dedicate yourself to ten major projects, we need you to join in the cause to build a safer, stronger, more literate, and more just world for all of us.
